There is fun to be had all the year through with both indoor and outdoor facilities on the extensive grounds, which include forests, pools, grasslands, and flower gardens. The "Sun Pillar Sports Hall" has plenty of games equipment for the likes of table tennis during summer and curling in winter. There is a small charge for curling, but the rest of the games equipment can be used for free. On top of this, there is the Play Forest with 12 types of game equipment, Four Seasons Pond where swans can be seen, Street Sports Plaza, and "Fluffy Dome", a popular white trampoline structure in the shape of a hill.
In summer the sunflower fields cover the hill in a resplendent blanket of yellow. Cherry blossoms, azaleas, hydrangeas and a host of other flowers bloom in the calmness of the gardens. Various outdoor activities can be enjoyed in winter, such as walks in the park on snowshoes, sled riding on the mini ski slopes and the "Kids' Snow Festival".
The Heritage Workshop hosts events with hands-on classes in pottery, knitting, and buckwheat noodle making, as well as a multitude of interesting lectures given in Japanese. This park is not just full of nature but also has facilities for a fun day out for adults and children.
