Mt.Kachi Kachi Ropeway is a cable car that lifts you up to near the peak of Mount Tenjo from the Eastern Shores of Lake Kawaguchiko. The journey offers unparalleled views of the Lake and Mount Fuji. You can enjoy a relaxed round trip in the cable car or stroll down through the forest trail. That said, we would advise you to get there early (before 9 am) as there is often quite a long queue later in the day.

The views from the cable car are magnificent and if you stand at the back you get an ever better look on the lake as the car goes up. From the observation deck you will get an unparalleled view on both Mount and the surrounding area, including the lake of course.

The access to the ropeway is just 15 minutes’ walk from Kawaguchiko station and the ride to the top is very quick (3 minutes or so). Once there, most visitors will head to the souvenir stores and buy local delicacies or ice cream. In addition to the restaurants, you will find there a shrine and a love bell worth the picture.

Some even decide to walk up the nature trail to get an even better viewing point in the woods. This will definitely be a welcome addition for outdoors and nature lovers.
