Iconic Tokyo skyscraper

Iconic skyscraper, symbolizes Japan with views & dining

Tokyo Tower, one of the most iconic attractions of Japan’s capital, is a well-loved fixture of the city skyline and a tribute to Japan’s post war economic development. Tokyo Tower is the world’s tallest, self-supported steel tower and was formerly the largest structure in Tokyo, until the construction of Tokyo Skytree®.

Built in 1958, Tokyo Tower serves as a communications antenna and observation deck. Serving as a transmission tower for both TV and radio, the structure is both functional and beautiful. Attracting millions of visitors each year, Tokyo Tower is one of the leading Tokyo tourist attractions. Standing at 332 meters high and painted bright red and white, Tokyo Tower is a refreshing scene amongst the busy high-rise buildings. At night, its illuminations make it all the more breath-taking when the sun goes down.

The tower has two observation decks, one at 150 meters and another at 250 meters. On a clear day, the higher observation deck offers visitors amazing views of Tokyo City and even as far as Mount Fuji. In addition to the observation decks, the base of the tower is home to Foot Town, which boasts an amusement park, shops, cafes, and restaurants – a fun place to enjoy some Tokyo food.
