City in a city by Tokyo Dome
A complex of amusements, shops and restaurants at Tokyo Dome
Tokyo Dome City lies in the heart of Tokyo City. The site is a collection of buildings and entertainment facilities made famous by the main building, the Tokyo Dome – or, as it’s also known, the Big Egg. Tokyo Dome is the largest roofed baseball stadium in the world. Thousands flock here to both attend sporting events and enjoy the attached facilities of this entertainment hub in the middle of busy Tokyo.
Tokyo Dome City boasts several leisure and entertainment facilities on its grounds. These include the Tokyo Dome baseball stadium, LaQua Spa and Tokyo Dome City Attractions amusement park, complete with the ‘Big-O’ – the world’s first centerless Ferris wheel. Tokyo Dome itself is home to the Yomiuri Giants baseball team. When it’s not playing host to their fast-paced games, the dome is used for music concerts and other festivals. LaQua Spa is a more recent addition to Tokyo Dome City, and offers a natural onsen, with waters coming from a kilometer beneath the surface.
Tokyo Dome City is a unique hub of relaxation and entertainment within the capital’s busy center and a welcome addition to any Tokyo sightseeing plans.
