A stadium dedicated to providing an optimal playing environment and spectator comfort
Home stadium of the Kashima Antlers, equipped with various facilities suitable for international matches
Opened in 1993, the Ibaraki Kashima Soccer Stadium was Japan’s first full-fledged soccer stadium. It has a seating capacity of about 40,000 and was designed with comfort in mind to enable spectators to enjoy the games in a relaxed atmosphere. All seats in the stadium are fully independent and come with backrests, while the double-tiered stands provide excellent visibility for watching games from any location. The stadium is equipped with various facilities suitable for international matches and served as a venue for the 2002 FIFA World Cup (TM). Producing some of the best matches in the world, the stadium’s main feature is its evergreen natural grass pitch. A state-of-the-art management system has been installed to ensure that it remains in optimal condition.
It is also the home stadium of J-League’s Kashima Antlers, and the Kashima Soccer Museum is located on the stadium grounds. The museum’s main area showcases the Antlers’ championship flags and trophies. In addition to the many valuable items on display, including memorabilia from club legends, visitors can also enjoy the Entertainment Lab, an interactive corner where you can play along to music and rhythms. It also houses the Kashima Wellness Plaza, which offers a wide range of studio programs, state-of-the-art training equipment, a skincare salon, and various other facilities and services. The environment is designed to promote individual health in a wide range of areas.
