The fastest and steepest rides in Japan
These attraction that are sure to make for a great day
Fuji-Q Highland opened its doors in 1996 and counts over 30 rides and attractions, numerous restaurants and shops. Now imagine yourself taking one of the fastest and steepest rides in the World and enjoying the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji on the horizon.
The thrill is real, Dodonpa, one of the attraction can hit 172km/h in only 1.8 seconds with 2.7 G’s of force, that is almost as much as the vertical takeoff force in a space rocket! Takabisha another record breaking ride drops on 121° slide bringing you at the edge of panic and if you haven’t had enough, Eejanaika coaster seats rotate 360 degrees and inverts 14 different times during the ride. After the adrenaline rush, pass by Thomas Land for another half-dozen kids’ friendly attraction that are sure to make for a great day.
For the bravest among us, the park has opened one of the world’s largest haunted house in the form of a ghost filled hospital. It is quite an exciting experience, very different from those you can find in other countries.
The queue can be long, so visit preferably in weekdays and head there early (15 minutes before the park opening time). If you are short on time, buy the fast lane tickets (Limited availability) and cut much of the queue.
